It’s there, it’s almost there on Wordpress.com. If you have a blog on Wordpress.com (which is not self hosted) then check your blog today (December 4th, 2008) at 8pm EST which is 5pm PST or 1am (5th December) in London.

The earlier schedule for self hosted blogs got delayed as it was supposed to be out by 10th November. As of now we have no idea when will Wordpress 2.7 be released for self hosted blog but people are anticipating it very soon.
As from some sources, it’ll be bit uneasy to switch to Wordpress 2.7 from 2.6 if you have your custom themes on your self hosted blog and you want to enjoy the full benefit of Wordpress 2.7. Though not really uneasy, but some learning process will be involved.
We are waiting for Wordpress.org to announce the release date of Wordpress 2.7 for self hosted blogs as more than a million bloggers are still waiting to get their hands on it.

Nice Info! I do hope migrating for existing version to this 2.7 version can be done easily, because it mentioned about automatic upgrade. I’m waiting for this rich in feature version.
