I am not sure but I haven’t seen such craze about any other Microsoft OS as what Windows 7 has been up to. Earlier, everybody was speculating that Win7 is just a replica of Windows Vista with some performance improvements but it seems it is bit different.
First of all, if you haven’t installed the copy of Windows 7 yet and do check out to know what’s the difference between Windows 7 and vista. Download size is approximately 2.5 GB
With Microsoft rolling out Windows 7 beta for public use and because of the leaked torrent, lot of people have already downloaded and installed it on their machines. Exploring something new is our hobby too and we have explored some new shortcuts which we have found very useful.
1. TURN AERO PEEK ON/OFF
+ SPACEBAR
If you don’t know what is Aero Peek, it is a great feature by which you can make all opened windows instantly become transparent on toggling. This is not to be confused with Show Desktop feature of Windows Vista or Windows XP. Aero Peek is enabled by default on Win7
2. LAUNCH APPS FROM TASKBAR
+ 1, 2, 3 ..
This will directly launch apps from the Taskbar on pressing a number mapped. In Windows XP and Vista this always has been my concern that we have to be much dependent on Mouse to open taskbar and tray apps.
3. MAXIMIZE / MINIMIZE CURRENT WINDOW
+ UP ARROW ( To Maximize )
+ DOWN ARROW ( To Minimize)
I am impressed!!
4. DOCK WINDOW TO LEFT/RIGHT
+ LEFT ARROW (To Dock at Left )
+ RIGHT ARROW (To Dock at Right )
5. WINDOW SWITCHING ON MULTIPLE MONITOR
+ SHIFT + LEFT ARROW (Switch to Left Monitor)
+ SHIFT + RIGHT ARROW (Switch to Right Monitor)
6. FLIP 3D
+ TAB
Though this is for Vista too but it is very useful sometimes. Flip 3D is same in Win7 too.
7. CYCLE THROUGH TASKBAR ITEMS
+ T
This will cycle through the taskbar items showing Live Thumbnail Preview too.
FOR WINDOWS XP/Vista USERS
You can enable Windows 7 shortcuts in Windows XP too. Download Windows 7 Shortcuts for XP/Vista which LifeHacker recently released.
Also if you want, you can install Vista like Sidebar Gadgets in Windows XP. And also you can have Vista like search on start menu for XP too.

this was very informative thank you… this cleared up what the differences between Vista and 7 was…
