Recently, Microsoft announced the download of their latest operating system Windows 7. Also if you don’t know, Win 7 was leaked to torrent sites even before official release. We’ve compared Win 7 with Windows Vista and found these 7 features that add significant value to Win7.
1. Multi-touch in Win 7
With touch technology becoming the latest trend after Apple’s revolutionary multi-touch iPhone, Windows 7 has multi-touch for all the supported hardware. HP Touchsmart series is one of them.
2. Aero Peek
Aero Peek allows Win 7 users to instantly make all the opened windows transparent. So let say, you want to see the weather on Windows 7 sidebar Gadget, this will be very useful.
3. New Taskbar
Windows 7 desktop will look different now because of the new taskbar. You can now reorder the opened Window buttons. It has Jump Lists feature which will allow you to access common programs very easily. And you can see the full screen preview before switching to a window.
As you can see above, Quick Launch bar and taskbar are merged together in Windows 7.
4. Games
Along with old Windows Vista games, Win 7 will have online version of Checkers, Spades and Backgammon. If you remember, recently there was a new robot game Tinker on Vista. This was a part of Vista Ultimate.
5. Media Center
Win 7 comes with enhanced Media Center experience. It will have Internet TV which will telecast MSN channels by default and will have a desktop sidebar gadget for the same too.
6. NetBook Edition
Netbooks are the light weight portable laptops used for browsing, email etc. It seems that by this year end we’ll see Netbooks by every major Brand like HP, Dell, Sony etc. Windows 7, apart from Ultimate Edition and Business edition will also have Netbook Edition. Though, of course it’ll be a stripped down version.
7. Performance and User Friendliness
Windows 7 will tremendously reduce the time to install an app. Also, now Windows will be less annoying with very less UAC prompt. For developers also, Win7 will reduce the time taken for developing Windows app.
If you want to try, then Download Windows 7 from Microsoft’s site. You need to burn the .iso DVD after downloading it.

Visually, Vista & 7 are look the same, but i want to know technically what is the reason that vista is turned into windows 7, ofcourse we know that there is a program bugs on windows vista. or is there a big reason why it turns into windows 7. i am just confuse, why microsoft release a new version ( Windows 7) tremendously.

From the looks of it, it seems as if Windows 7 is just the same as Vista but with a couple of small changes. Please fill me in on the major differences between Windows 7 and Vista and prove it’s not just a polished terd. I hope it is worth the money.

I just upgraded my windows vista 64 bit ultimate OS to windows 7 ultimate. I heard all of the amazing things that 7 brings to the table and received an unlocked copy of it to try so I thought what the heck right. Honestly…..I can respond to chris’ comment below who asked beyond the small changes, whats the big difference and say ” I have no real idea what the difference is….”. I own it and use computers both at home and at work like crazy and I just can’t tell. Sure the toolbar perks are pretty nifty but overall, no real change. Seriously, if you have windows vista ultimate 64 you probably have a good computer. I hand built my monster as most people(probably anyone reading this) do these days. It’s not worth your money. If you get a free copy from someone then why not, it is a little faster once you are in(my startup is actually slower with 7 but not noticeably). It’s basically a service pack to windows vista to add in some of the XP apps back with a large price tag imo. Hey, maybe over the next year or two i’ll find some new great purpose that I have been missing or take advantage of the touch software compatibility but seriously for the average joe or gamer, don’t waste your money and stick with your current OS.

windows7 makes work easier and faster ,bt it doesnot support all types of software and game .so xp is better than windows7.now in many places xp is used not w7

my internet was significantly slower and it looks like there is absolutely no difference definitely not worth the money unless you have and touch screen computer
i was very disappointed with it overall
