Apply Windows Vista Theme on Google Chrome in XP/Vista

In our last post we showed you how to display thumbnail preview like Windows Vista in Windows XP. Google Chrome by default comes with it’s own theme which is blue colored in Windows XP and with Aero Glass effects in Vista. You can skin your Google Chrome with Windows Vista Black theme ZOMBRE in Windows XP/Vista.

Download the ZOMBRE Vista theme for Chrome. The site also has Safari Theme for it.

Vista users replace your default.dll

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\
Application\0.2.149.27\Themes\default.dll

XP users replace it with

C:\Documents and Settings\ <username> \Local Settings\
Application Data\Google\Chrome\Application\
0.2.149.27\ Themes\default.dll

Just make sure that you back up your old default.dll.
