Recently I received a request in Orkut to unban someone from a community that I own. Even after scratching my head for several hours, I was not able to figure out any such option to unban someone.
The only way I could unban someone was to keep looking for the person page by page and then go to moderation option for that guy to unban him. But if you have thousands of members in orkut, it’ll become so tedious task to delete on guy.
How to unban, simple steps -
1. Go to person’s profile page and look at the address bar. You’ll have a link like
http://www.orkut.com/Profile.aspx?uid=XXXXXXXXX
2. Note down the XXXX part which will be a unique ID of that person.
3. Now go to the community main page and again look at the address bar. It’ll be -
http://www.orkut.co.in/Main#Community.aspx?cmm=YYYYYYY
4. Note down the YYYY part too which is the ID of your community.
5. Open the following link replacing the COMMID with YYYY id and USRID with XXXX id
http://www.orkut.com/CommMemberManage.aspx?cmm=COMMID&uid=USRID
You’ll shown the moderation page for the person. Click on the option "Unban from community" and you are done!
