There’s a saying – “If internet is a religion, then Google is God”. So True! If you are planning to write your own search engine like what MSE360 guys did then there’s no guarantee that whether it’ll be successful in near future or not as there are lots of hard-to-crack search engines already there.
MSE360 is a brand new search engine with some big goals as what they say. Some of their out of the box features include -
Virus Alerts: Most of the internet users when they search, don’t know that whether the site they have found can have some virus that can corrupt their computer. Virus alerts will warn the user by putting an alert icon next to the site depending on if the website is there in their database.
Different Layout: They have 3 tier layout design, Blog Search, Wikipedia, Image results or web results, all come together in same page which is so cool. And soon they will add support to 3rd party applications.
Speed: By speed I mean, speed of indexing websites. As a new venture they are improving to get faster results. Check out yourself how much speed do you get.
Community Features: It allows users to add a site if it’s not already there in their index and that too without moderation. Once you add the site, other users can vote up and down for it. This will help to prevent spam sites.
All in all, We found MSE360 pretty decent, though not comparing with the Big Gs or Ms or Ys. Worth giving it a try. Even if you don’t like it you can add your website there for free.
