Recently due to new AJAX interface to load images in orkut, you can’t save images of your friends as right click is disabled.
Though there are several ways to get that picture including taking the screen capture and then cropping it, but simple trick is to just disable javascript on your browser then right click for the save option. The procedure for disabling javascript may vary depending on your browser.
If you are using Firefox
Go to Tools –> Options –> Content and uncheck Enable Javascript option
If you are an advanced user then try QuickJava addon for Firefox for easy enabling/disabling of Javascript.
If you are using Internet Explorer
To disable Javascript in Internet Explorer go to Tools –> Internet Options –> Security and click Custom Level Button under the Internet Option
Then from Security settings disable Active scripting as show below
If you are using Opera
To disable javascript in Opera just press F12 key and then uncheck the Enable Javascript option on the context menu that appears
Now, on your orkut page right click on the image and choose the save image option. Please note that you may have to refresh the page for disabled javascript to take effect.
