How to protect your Firefox to display saved passwords

Do you always doubt that your email accounts have been hacked or somebody is trying to spy on you ? If answer to the above question is yes, then are you sure that you never save your passwords while entering your account information to access your mail or bank accounts while using Firefox ?

Okay, lets take an example. You enter your username and password to access your gmail and a pop up bar appears on the top. Without even noticing that you press the Remember button and don’t know that every other user of your computer can view your saved password.

How to Protect This ?

Ok, you also don’t like anyone else to intrude into your privacy, right ? Solution is very simple. In the above dialog, tick the “Use a master password” option. Firefox will ask you to enter your master password to access those saved passwords.

What if somebody tries to login with my account ?

Don’t worry about that. If you have set a master password, you are secure. Whenever you try to login to a site for which you have saved your password, Firefox will again prompt for a master password to fill your account information automatically.

So make sure that you have your master password enabled before you surf your next website and be SAFE!
