240GB hard drive upgrade for iPod video costs around $300

You’ll be surprised to know that Rapidrepair is offering hard drive upgrade for your iPod Video models starting from 20GB to 240GB. It really doesn’t make any sense to upgrade when your 120GB iPod is somewhat cheaper than that.

Upgrade includes replacement of old iPod hard drive with Toshiba’s 8mm hard drive (model: MK2431GAH) which can double the hard drive capacity on your iPod. Though the upgrade is not offered for iPhone but it seems it is available for iPod Classic and Zune 2nd generation.

But the upgrade may sound good for those who are movie buffs or prefer to keep all their video collection at single place and watching them while on travel on their new iPod 240GB.

Even though the upgrade is not so cheap but at least it gives us some indication that in future we’ll see more iPod and iPhone accessories that are not just external but possibility of things like hardware upgrade, audio speakers upgrade or who knows it may include adding of Bluetooth to your device.
