Nokia 5800 Xpressmusic , new firmware features plenty bug fixes

You might be aware that recently Nokia launched its first S60 based touch screen phone in India. Though N97 is also touch screen phone but it hasn’t been launched yet. Just after few  weeks of launch Nokia has updated the firmware of its 5800 XpressMusic phone today for some regions.

The updated firmware version v11.0.008 of Nokia 5800 is only available for few countries yet and contains lot of bug fixes improving the overall performance of touch screen cell phone.

Though in India and other Asian countries the firmware is not available but you should keep trying to update it using Nokia Software Update software included in Nokia PC Suite.

 

The old firmware version 10.0.10 had number of bugs including so many crashes including dropping of network while on call, losing of time when phone is turned off, missing google search service, improved 3G connectivity, fixes in Nokia Maps. Also Vodafone users have no homepage settngs which is there in Airtel and Idea networks. New firmware will fix it all.

Also Nokia 5800 features include Flash objects in the browser. So if you are having any problem related to that new firmware version 11.0.008 will fix that.

To update the firmware just use NSU software and see if it’s available for your country. If you don’t have NSU software installed, check the box for its CD or alternatively you can download it from Nokia’s website. If you have any problem, comment below, we’ll try to help you out
