The conference board of Canada recently did some research on "Innovation". Though the survey was conducted to compare Canada with 16 peer countries on Innovation index but it has brought some interesting facts.
United States, Switzerland and Ireland stood first on overall Innovation scale. Japan, Germany and UK to follow next on it.
Though if we look at the Scientific Articles published, which is a part of Innovation, Sweden and Switzerland are the only countries scoring the A Grade.
On the other hand, if we look at the share of World’s patent, USA and Japan scores an A Grade leaving behind others by a great margin. This is quite understood. Japan is scoring A Grade because of lot of hardware patents and probably USA because of the cutting-edge technology.
On Technology Exchange, Belgium and Netherlands are the only one scoring an A Grade.
When it comes to export market share in electronics, you can guess that, Japan has scored A grade for all the years. Sad enough, China was not included in this list, otherwise we would have seen its name instead of Japan.
The complete detailed analysis and report card of this comprehensive survey where they have discussed factors like Economy, Health, Innovation, Society, Educational Skills and Environment can be accessed here.
Please note that many countries were not a part of this survey, if your country is not in the list then don’t be worried.
