You must have started from Windows Media player and may have tried Winamp too which is a popular media player that plays your songs as well as multimedia files.
Then there was Foobar media player (~3MB in size) which was also a light-weight app. But we bet here, there can’t be anything lighter than damn small media player.
Actually, developer’s aim was to build :
- A player that is less than 2MB in size.
- Can play Mp3s
- Manage playlists
- Playlist Queues.
- Search songs.
- Player with shortcuts and global hotkeys like Winamp.
- Multi Platform (Windows, Linux , Mac)
.. and he’s up right there with a Damn Small Media player.
Features look neat and simple enough. If you want a player in which you can just drag the songs or play your playlist without worrying about selecting tempo or fiddling with equalizer etc then this player is for you.
Available for download at Google Code under GNU License but in beta version.
