Add Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 like new Tab button in Firefox

Firefox logoAccording to the latest report  Microsoft’s Internet Explorer is still the most used browser. Most of the developers and designers don’t like it. Even after releasing the latest Internet Explorer 8 there are very few people that have made mind to switch from Firefox and Opera to IE 8 completely.

If you remember, we’ve discussed Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 like grouping of tabs in Firefox. And if you like the New Tab button at the end of the tabs in it, you can also add the same button in Firefox too.

Kozakuro Inko has developed a Firefox plugin which will enable you to put almost the same looking new tab button in Firefox too.

IE like new tab button in Firefox

As you can see there’s another option of putting the button by Customizing Firefox toolbar and putting the button on the left. But still having it at the end of the tabs in Firefox is also very cool.

The plugin is available as a free download and also supports Firefox 3.1b.

And if you also miss the feature of having new tabs open on the left of the current tab just wait for few more weeks when Mozilla will officially release Firefox 3.1. It comes with this feature which is already there in Internet Explorer 7 and 8 and Google Chrome too.

Firefox is a great browser. Even though IE 7 and IE 8 have great market share, Firefox has the biggest advantage of having custom made plugins which anyone can write under Mozilla Public License.
