Honda Jazz, as the name sounds, is really so jazzy. We’ve been hearing the launch of Honda Jazz since last two years. But the wait has finally come to an end. Honda Seil Cars India (HSCI) is finally launching Honda Jazz in May 2009.
This will be the first model of Honda in small segment strongly competing with Hyundai i20, Skoda Fabia and Maruti Suzuki Swift. But with its sporty look and cool features, we are sure there are many people holding their pockets and waiting for its launch eagerly.
This Honda City Hatchback is already being displayed at many showrooms across India, though the booking has not started yet.
Different variants of Honda Jazz
Honda Jazz is worldwide available in 3 variants – GLi, VTi and VTi-S. The car is Euro 4 compliant and follows all the basic standards. With so aerodynamic shape, the car is little bigger than Skoda Fabia and will surely win your heart once you see it.
Powered by VTEC engine with 1200 cc capacity, car will initially be available only in petrol variants, though Honda have plans to launch the diesel model very soon in India too.
Price of Honda Jazz
It is still not declared but looking at various sources you can expect it to be for around Rs. 5 lakhs varying from basic to high end model (ex-showroom price) which we think is not a bad deal looking at i20 and Fabia. Though on-road price will be a bit higher.
Performance and Mileage
Honda is a well known automobile brand in India. Starting from Honda City which is one of the best selling cars in India, Honda is known for its reliability and performance in economical package. Petrol variants are expected to give a very decent mileage of around 14kmpl on Indian roads which is not bad at all.
The interior of Honda Jazz is said to be similar to Honda Civic with an excellent spacing inside and very sporty looking steering wheel on stunning dashboard.
The Car worth waiting for
Absolutely! If you really want value for your money, then just wait for another one month. Since there is no Lucky draw system here like what TATA Nano is doing, you can expect your car to be delivered soon once it launches in India. Of course that does depends on your budget too!

This looks great.
I am thinking of going to driving school and learn how to drive car and thinking of purchase it. The problem is there are lot of options out there. Hard to choose.
BTW do you own a car?
