Google chrome for Mac, get involved in development

Google surprised everyone when they announced Chrome last September to be available only for Windows. Chrome uses Apple’s Webkit as its rendering engine but still it is not available for Mac. Now its already four months, Google seems to be working hard on the Mac version of Chrome.

Chrome developers at Google Group have released some of the screenshots capture of Chrome running on Mac OS X along with some of the bugs that they are encountering currently.

According to some of the Chrome developers, clicking on the browser for Mac doesn’t work and crashes the app currently. But even after the crash, the interface keeps running without any halt.

There’s no report about the Linux development of Chrome but it seems Mac OS X users are excited to hear about the news and possibly we should expect Google Chrome for Mac to be available for download during spring season.

If you are a Mac developer then you can also get involved in development of Google Chrome. Google has listed complete set of Chromium Developer Documentation explaining you about whole of the process where you can contribute your code or help them testing and filing bugs too.

You can also see the list of features that are still to be completed for the Mac version of Chrome.
