Google Reader Bookmarklet, now quickly subscribe feeds

Google Reader is the Feed reader of choice for most of the bloggers on the planet. If you’ve observed, apart from updating the pageranks today, Google also made few changes to the Google Reader recently. We liked the Recommendations and Bookmarklet Tips and Tricks.

Bookmarklets are short JavaScript codes that just act like your bookmarks. When you click on them, they will execute on your browser and will send request to some web server. You just have to drag the link to these short JavaScript codes to your bookmark folder/toolbar. If you remember we told you about Snipd bookmarklet which makes snippet of all your selected content on the web page.

How to install/add Google Reader Bookmarklet on your Browser ?

Though if you Login to your Google Reader you can find the same instructions, but just for our readers we have made this simple. Just drag this link to your Bookmarks folder. Whenever you see any web page for which you want to receive updates on your Google reader, just click on the above saved bookmarklet. (Just make sure that you have to login to your Google account before you click the bookmarklet, which otherwise will prompt you to do so.)

And with the Recommendations, Google has added more "social points" to the Reader app. This is in fact a great way for Bloggers and other people on the internet to know what is hot on trends in their particular niche as well.

Tip for Bloggers

You can directly add the link above to your website, if someone is genuinely interested, he/she can click on the link to directly get subscribed to your feed on Google reader, which will also increase your Feedburner subscriber count and save your reader’s time too.
