Microsoft Skydrive team has announced 25GB of free online storage now. Earlier it was only 5GB. Now with this upgrade, they’ve also changed the interface and user experience a bit.
New features of skydrive includes –
- 25GB of free storage. Upgraded from 5GB
- Support for more regions and languages (13 more languages added)
- Download full folder as a compressed zip archive.
- Online slideshows using silverlight (currently only IE support)
- Support for mobile phone uploads (coming soon)
Skydrive is very user friendly and anyone can easily upload a file and share it with his or her family and friends. For webmasters also, they can host their media files on skydrive too which can cut the cost of paid services. Though we have no idea if there’s a limit on the bandwidth or not.
Get the Skydrive account today if you don’t have. If you have your Microsoft passport id (hotmail, live etc) then you can login with the same account
