Facebook no doubt is a great social networking website. I always admire it for its simplicity and ease of navigation. After the first layout change, recently it underwent change in its layout again. (Read for Temporary solution below)
Many users are just criticizing the new design of the Facebook. The quiz updates are more annoying than ever. One fine day you open your Facebook account and see pile of quizzes that your friends have taken.
One very surprising thing is that there is NO WAY YOU CAN DISABLE THESE QUIZZES. Probably I think something went wrong with the Quiz app or is it the way it is ?
Actually, if you see, more than 50% of the area of your feeds is occupied with these quiz updates which lefts very less space for the updates from your friends.
And on top of that, apps on right panel makes it worst ever design as the apps looks like advertisements and is skimmed by people.
I sincerely request Facebook to fix this issue or at least give us some options to reorder the panels on in worst case just let us allow to disable quiz updates on Facebook feeds.
TEMPORARY SOLUTION: Just hover on the particular quiz and Hide that Quiz update forever. So next time your friend takes the same quiz you won’t see his or her update!
I just recently join facebook (shocking i know on the “recent” part)and yes you are right about these quiz. They are so annoying!
There’s a useful GreaseMonkey script which blocks the quiz updates, if you happen to have Firefox.
So far, this is the only solution I’ve found, and you have to be running Firefox or Chrome for it to work:
