Download Facebook Adobe AIR Desktop Client app

If you are not aware, recently Facebook released its Open Stream API for developers. With the help of this API, developers can now retrieve the entire feed from your Facebook account. They can even create whole customized experience of look and feel of your Facebook account.

Facebook today has released first ever Desktop client made in Adobe AIR. The app is still in a kind of experimentation stage. If you use Tweetdeck or any other Adobe AIR apps for Twitter then you’ll find it bit useful.

The experience is same as that in browser. You’ll be able to comment on your friend’s updates, photos etc and can also like them exactly the same way as you do in your browser but on your Desktop client app.

Installation
You need to have Adobe AIR runtime installed. If you already use any other Adobe AIR app then you don’t need to do anything.

Download Facebook Adobe AIR app. Installation is smooth but once you are done with it, you need to authorize the app to publish the content to Facebook.

Please note that, the app is not a full fledged thing which can replace your Facebook page. But if you only want to have a look at your friend’s stories and commenting etc then it is a must try app. Also, you won’t be able to chat with this.

Also make sure that you have the Adobe AIR installed before installing the app. And if you don’t, then download and install the latest version of Adobe AIR first.
