Emily is a photo-realistic character in video games and films created by Image Metrics, the same company responsible for producing facial animations for Grand Theft Auto computer game.
The animation is so realistic that it’s hard to make out if it is computer generated or real. Earlier techniques of modeling a human face was to put dots on the face and then analyzing the ways the dots move, but Image Metrics analyses facial movements at each pixel level in a Video.
Speculations are such that if we are able to remodel the exact character then who would like to produce so expensive movies with real characters.
Animators are trying for so long to cut down the barrier of the computer generated face approaching to human likeness but many of them believe that the line between what is rendered and what is real can’t vanish before 2020.
