Recently we told you how to fix mp3 problems in Windows 7. Even after installing the patch some users seems to have problem with the audio drivers.
For those who have Realtek HD Audio just update your drivers with the latest version that supports Windows 7. Most of the laptops and Desktops ships with integrated onboard sound card that runs on Realtek drivers.
Realtek has updated drivers for Windows Vista, Windows XP, Windows 200 also with their latest release R2.16. Though on the download page there is no mention of Windows 7 but their changelog clearly mentions that Windows 7 x86 and x64 are supported.
If you’ve bought separate sound card with your Windows XP/Vista machine then you should check the respective vendor’s site to know whether the support for Windows 7 is currently there or not. If it is there then just download the drivers and install them immediately on Windows 7.
Also if you are on Windows 7 then you should keep updating your system with latest updates from Microsoft too. This may fix your system if something is not working.
