You can now download Google Reader Gadget for your Google Desktop application. This means you can read all your favorite RSS Feeds without opening your favorite Browser. Google has officially announced it today.
This comes very handy if you just want to scan through the feeds quickly as it’ll show you the title of the post as well as first few sentences of the content.
Clicking on the title headline will open up a small window with more content text on it. Though when we checked it, there were some problems with the rendering of the full HTML feeds as provided by Feedburner.
And another good thing about Google Gadgets is that they can run on Windows and Linux both. You need to have Google Desktop 5 pre-installed for this.
