Zoho Mail : Do we really need it now ?

Zoho Mail Zoho which recently became very popular after releasing their Business and other online office apps, has launched a new email with offline access.

Zoho targets at small and medium scale enterprise businesses providing them with online collaborative apps like Zoho docs, Zohos spreasheets, Zoho chat and bunch of other apps in the complete online suite.

With the new email service it can stand high to see the competition between Google and itself which had lots of similar online apps. And their mail system fights with Gmail now.

And the question is do we need it now ?

Gmail is known to us for quite long. We tried Zoho, it has more or less similar feature as what Gmail currently has, major one being offline access of mails. Though it’s just the starting, but still the delay in sending mail was too much.

Offline access stores the mail on your system’s browser so that you can read them later on. But for that you need to install Google Gears plugin on your browser.

One thing we liked about Zoho is its simple enough interface which is not cluttered like other mail services. But switching to another mail service without any significant reason doesn’t make much sense as Gmail has every other feature which Zoho has.

And interestingly, Zoho mail is not in Beta and Gmail is still in beta ever since it was created.
