On occasion of 20th anniversary of Tiananmen massacre on June 4th, China has cut down all means of social networking and social media through the internet.
This means that Chinese people won’t have access to Twitter, Flickr , Blogspot and Microsoft’s new Search Engine Bing. Earlier Youtube was blocked for a while in China and then even Wikipedia was blocked for sometime.
One should notice that only during this time of the year when Tiananmen massacre is coming near, China makes it Firewall more tight restricting access to number of internet sites including means of social networking.
Though it’s very hard to say that whether this change will be permanent or temporary but if you see the comments section at this Mashable article you’ll know about frustrations of the Chinese people.
Why is that China always need to build a great (Fire)wall ? Let the freedom prevail everywhere.

maybe we’ve got it all wrong — maybe China is actually blocking these sites in an attempt to bring as much attention to the Tiananmen Square massacre as possible…
