With huge success of EEE range of portable PC laptops, Asus’ll soon be launching touchscreen based EEE PC. Though its form factor is now changed and it has separate keyboard with it.
If you are aware of HP Touchsmart PC or Dell ONE, Asus EEE PC looks quite similar to it. It comes bundled with exclusive touch enabled softwares too.
It’ll come in two models- Eee Top ET1602 and Eee Top ET1603 which is a high end one. Some of the other features of these PCs -
- 15.6 inches touch screen panel.
- Intel Atom N270 microprocessor.
- 1GB of DDR2 RAM
- 1.3 Mega pixel camera and mic inbuilt.
- SRS Surround Sound speakers
- Ethernet and Wireless (802.11n) connection
- ATI Mobility Radeon HD3450 graphics card (only on higher end version of PC)
- 4.4 kgs (~9.67 pounds) of weight
Though we are doubtful if it’ll run Win7 due to its limited hardware as Win7 already has touch enabled features. Asus has not disclosed the price as of now, but it’ll be very economical when compared to Touchsmart or Dell ONE.
