How to add Vista like start menu search in Windows XP

I just love Windows Vista for the instant search feature that it has got in its search bar. I always wanted to have this feature in Windows XP to search for anything that I want instantly.

ViStart is a very light weight software that will replace your conventional Windows XP Start Menu with Vista like Start Menu giving you an option to search for anything on your computer instantly.

Vistart - Vista menu for Windows XP

ViStart automatically indexes programs and files on your computer and can even give you 400% faster search results than Windows Vista which is kind of unbelievable considering the size of the app.

Also the theme which ViStart uses is almost exact copy of Vista’s Aero theme. Though it also supports 3rd party themes by deviantart.

Sometime back we also showed you how to add Vista like thumbnails to Windows XP and How to run Vista Gadgets in Windows XP too. But this is an app we’ll suggest our readers to must give  a try if they have Windows XP as this is so small and is easy on your machine.

You can download the latest version of ViStart from here.
